Accessibility Statement
On this page
We want anyone to be able to use this store, whatever device or assistive technology they use. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are not claiming perfection — below is what we have done, what we know is still rough, and how to tell us when something blocks you.
What we have built in
- Keyboard navigation. Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus outline. Menus and dialogs return focus where you left it, and a skip link jumps you past the header to the main content.
-
Screen readers. Landmarks, one
h1per page, and headings in a real order. Buttons and links have accessible names. Live regions announce cart updates and form errors instead of leaving them silent. - Colour contrast. Our mint-on-near-black palette was checked against the AA contrast thresholds for body text, and we do not rely on colour alone to carry meaning.
- Reduced motion. The site has animation and 3D effects. If your system is set to "reduce motion", we honour it and those effects stop.
- Text and zoom. Layouts hold together at 200% zoom and reflow to narrow screens without a horizontal scrollbar.
- Images. Meaningful images carry alt text describing what matters; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers rather than announced as noise.
- Forms. Real labels, not just placeholders. Errors are described in text next to the field, not signalled by a red border alone.
Where we fall short
Being honest is more useful than a compliance badge:
- Third-party content. Payment pages, embedded maps, and apps are not built by us and we cannot fix their accessibility directly. We can raise it with the provider, and we will.
- Product listings. As the catalogue grows, some alt text will be thinner than it should be. We review it as we go.
- Automated testing only, so far. Our checks are automated and manual keyboard passes. We have not yet had a formal audit by an accessibility specialist or systematic testing with users of screen readers — the kind of validation that genuinely confirms conformance. Until then, treat this as a statement of intent and effort, not certified compliance.

Need help placing an order?
If any part of the site is unusable for you, we will take the order directly — by email or on the phone — and read out prices, options, and totals before anything is charged. No one should have to fight a website to buy something.
